Slides give structure. Labs create skills.

When someone clicks the button, hits the error, and fixes it — that memory sticks in a way a slide never will.

My rule

If a student can do it at the end of the session, the session worked.

That’s why I build lab environments that are realistic enough to teach the hard bits — but reliable enough to survive a live class.
